Terms and Conditions

Draft for review. Effective date to be confirmed before publication.

1. About JMEasy Software

JMEasy Software is a South African software business offering the EZY Software family of subscription-based business tools. These terms apply to subscriptions and services supplied by JMEasy Software, together with any written quotation or order confirmation.

2. Enquiries, quotations and activation

This website showcases products and pricing. It does not currently provide automatic online purchases or account activation. Customers contact JMEasy Software to discuss their needs. Product selection, subscription fees, user quantities and any additional services are confirmed before acceptance. An invoice or payment instructions will be provided, and activation is arranged manually.

3. Fees and payments

Subscriptions are generally billed monthly at the rates confirmed in the customer’s quotation or subscription confirmation. Payments are currently accepted by electronic funds transfer (EFT) using the payment details supplied on an official JMEasy Software invoice. Payment must be made by the stated due date. Fees, promotional prices and included features will be confirmed before signup. Changes to ongoing subscription fees will be communicated in advance.

4. Software access and acceptable use

Customers receive a limited right to use the subscribed EZY Software products for their own legitimate business activities while the subscription is active. Customers are responsible for safeguarding login details, authorising their users and ensuring the accuracy and legality of information entered into the software. Customers may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access or copy or redistribute the software.

5. Support and availability

JMEasy Software aims to provide practical support and maintain service availability. Maintenance, updates, internet connectivity and circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect access. Specific support or service commitments, if any, will be confirmed separately in writing.

6. Cancellation and termination

Either party may ordinarily end a subscription by giving 30 days’ written notice. Applicable statutory cancellation and other consumer rights take precedence where relevant. A subscription normally remains available until the end of the final paid subscription period. Material non-payment or misuse may lead to suspension or termination following appropriate notice, subject to applicable law.

7. Data ownership, export and deletion

Customers retain ownership of the business information they enter or upload. On subscription closure, JMEasy Software will arrange a complimentary export of available customer business records in customer-readable spreadsheet format, together with associated available images and documents, as applicable. Delivery will be arranged securely and separately; a software application or database restoration service is not included. Customers should check and securely store their export. After the subscription ends, account access is disabled. Remaining hosted customer data will ordinarily be retained for up to 30 days to allow follow-up export requests, and may then be securely removed, subject to legal retention obligations and backup expiry arrangements.

8. Refunds

Fees paid for subscription periods already provided are ordinarily non-refundable, except where law requires otherwise. Incorrect or duplicate payments will be investigated and refunded when verified. Further details appear in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

9. Privacy and information security

JMEasy Software processes personal information to respond to enquiries, provide and administer its services, handle payments and support customers. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable South African privacy law and the separately published Privacy Policy. Customer information and exported files will be handled using reasonable security measures.

10. Intellectual property and limitations

JMEasy Software retains intellectual property rights in its software and branding. The customer retains their rights in their uploaded business data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. Any additional service warranties or agreed responsibilities will be recorded in writing.

11. Contact and updates

For subscription questions, cancellation notices, data exports or policy enquiries, contact info@jmeasy.co.za. JMEasy Software may update these terms when necessary. Material changes affecting existing subscriptions will be communicated in advance, subject to applicable law.
